What services Umar Masjid provides
Prayer
Congregation
Umar Mosque provides the opportunity to fulfill the obligatory 5 daily prayers as well as Jumu’ah (Friday) prayers with jama’ah (in congregation), under the guidance of our regular learned Imams. We also provide Qur’an teaching with Tajweed, Fiqh and Ahadeeth to our regular members of the congregation.
Madrasa
Education
We have an established Madrasa service since our inception and have grown as its services have been appreciated by many parents. Students are taught Qura’nic learning with Tajweed, Fiqh and Islamic studies, Dua’s in the life of a Muslim and basic Islamic guidance of Qur’an and sunnah. This is delivered by qualified teaching staff (Males/Females) and these services are provided to both boys and girls in segregation.
Classes
The Madrasa classes run three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 17:00 to 19:00. Parents are required to come along to with their children just before the time of classes start. Parents are also able to buy the appropriate books and material for their children at the office.
Facilities
During the month of Ramadhan, we provide a full dinner for Iftar and have been doing so successfully for several years. This is provided for FREE and has been well appreciated by our community. We also have Wudhu (ablution) facilities, kitchen facilities as well.
